Set in the forests of Hungary, Severance unfolds as a darkly comedic slasher, where a corporate team-building retreat turns into a deadly game of survival when the employees are hunted by vengeful killers.
The story follows a group of sales reps from Palisade Defence, a British weapons manufacturer, who head to a remote lodge for a weekend getaway. But when their bus is abandoned and strange things start happening—like finding a human tooth in a meat pie—they realize they’re not alone. As the team is picked off one by one by masked poachers with a grudge, the survivors must rely on their wits (and questionable teamwork) to escape the blood-soaked woods.
Directed by Christopher Smith and co-written with James Moran, the film premiered in August 2006 and stars Danny Dyer, Laura Harris, and Tim McInnerny.
